So we are Ann and Jim, and in June 2021, we decided to visit Gardeners world live at the Birmingham National Exhibition Centre. As we wandered about, it was a lovely surprise to see a holiday lodge and residential lodge on display, on behalf of Allens Caravans.
First Impressions
I was instantly intrigued by these homes, and being a little nosy, I was interested in exploring these lodges. We had a look inside both lodges and spoke to a few members of the friendly team. They then showed us the site plan for The Springs Holiday Park, and we instantly loved the idea of being able to relax and unwind lakeside. It looked so calming and tranquil, and you could tell that it was extremely spacious from lodge to lodge. After taking a brief look and learning a little more, we decided to book a visit and take a look for ourselves.
It had been an extremely difficult time for us as we had just lost my mother-in-law, so it felt particularly good to be exploring a fresh direction at this point in our lives. We spoke to Angela and Nicola, who were both so helpful, friendly and responsive to our recent loss as we spoke of this.
Our Visit To The Springs
Once our visit to The Springs Holiday Park was arranged, we headed there the following week! Sales Executive Nicola met us there and showed us around the beautiful park. As we were taking a look around, and checking out the plot availability, we noticed that there wasn’t just one gorgeous plot available, but two situated next to each other, and another single plot available. This got us thinking, considering we are a family of five with three grown-up daughters…
The sun shone brightly on the day that we visited. It was stunningly quiet, and we soon realised that nature really was directly on our doorstep. The activity lake looked incredible as we watched children play and adults enjoy paddleboarding. Furthermore, we couldn’t believe how ideal the location was, located on the doorstep of the Cotswolds and Malvern Hills.
Our shoulders relaxed, it felt good, relaxing, especially after the tough year we’d had so far. We began to visualise ourselves visiting this park often, especially as it wasn’t too far from our primary residence and began to get excited. We soon took a step back to consider, ‘Are we jumping in too quick?’ At this point, we knew we had some thinking to do.
After a few days of thinking it through, we decided to visit The Springs Holiday Park another couple of times, and every time that we did, the sun was always bright every single time we arrived. Jim began to think about the benefits of having two-holiday homes at this point… was he mad?! So then we decided to weigh all of our options up and make a final decision. We loved the idea of owning a holiday home for ourselves, and one for our girls or for family and friends when they come to visit us when we stayed. This was Jim’s way of being able to share our little haven with our loved ones!

The Final Decision
We decided to take the plunge and now we are so excited! Two lodges at The Springs Holiday Park, and whenever we visit the sun shines – it really was meant to be! We hope that 2022 brings us lots of happy treasured memories we’ve had a tough 2021. A place to retreat and share - just perfect!
