Resolutions to Stick By

Resolutions to Stick By

We have all made and broken a New Year's resolution on an almost annual basis, yet every year we persevere and tell ourselves that this year will be different. Well, this year, here at Allens Caravans, we believe it will be. Instead of the run of the mill resolutions, make ones that stick, by basing them around your existing life and you'll soon see results.

Most resolutions fail because they are so widespread; they are often unrealistic and involve big changes that can seem daunting. However, we have confidence in our fellow caravan lovers and their ability to make New Year's resolutions that they will stick by - and their caravans too.

It is often said that people fail at their promises to themselves because the changes are not ones they are emotionally invested in. When it comes to your caravan, though, you can be sure that you are emotionally and physically, as well as financially invested.

When someone makes an investment into a caravan, they are committed to the lifestyle and all that comes along with it. With that in mind, we have compiled a list of seven common resolutions that will make your weekend caravan breaks so much easier!

  1. Be more organised. If you plan your weekend caravan breaks in advance, design the trips and organise in anticipation, and then the rest of your resolutions will fall into place.
  2. Use your caravan more - the more you use your caravan, the more you will fall in love with the freedom that comes with it, as well as the independence.
  3. Regular cleaning ensures that your weekend caravan breaks aren't delayed by a frantic cleaning session on the morning of your departure.
  4. Visit new places - venture out of your comfort zone. We all have places we love and frequent, but the UK is both vast and beautiful in equal measure. Make the most of it and see as much of it as you can.
  5. Exercise more - when you visit these new places, make the effort to venture out of the resorts and parks in search of local culture, history and things to do. A brief walk each day is enough to keep you healthy and feeds your wanderlust, too.
  6. Get more sleep - the more active you are, the more you will need your kip. You'll be surprised how good you feel following a nice, long rest after a day of sightseeing.
  7. Spend more time with family and friends, bring them along on your weekend caravan breaks for some quality time and the opportunity for new memories to be made.
