6 Recipes Perfect for Winter

  • 18th Jan 2018

Whilst you are cosy and warm in your residential park home now, you might start to feel the cold as winter gets into full swing. It's best to have a list of recipes that can help you discard those dreaded January Blues and keep you feeling toasty and warm throughout the coldest season. There are, however, hundreds of recipes, but what you want is something that will taste incredible while giving you that cosy and warm feeling.

No matter what time of day it is or if you're only a little hungry, there is bound to be something that tastes great and will keep you warm. We have put together a list of recipes that we feel are sure to keep you feeling warm and cosy this January.

Have a Warm Bowl of Soup

A bowl of black bean soup with cumin and chilli pepper is guaranteed to get you feeling warm. Nutritious and delicious, it's quick and easy to make ensuring that you spend more time enjoying it than you do making it!

If you're not a massive fan of beans, a bowl of pumpkin soup could be the perfect recipe for you. Warm and filling, it uses both curry and chilli powder to get you feeling warm and cosy inside.

Want Something a Little More Filling?

Speaking of chilli powder, a hearty bowl of chilli could be the perfect way to help you forget about the weather outside. Add some Merlot or red wine to give it that extra kick, and you can also pair it with rice or a jacket potato and it's sure to make you feel full.

Porridge makes you feel full whilst keeping you warm and it might be that you have some in the morning to get your day off to a good start. It's also healthy as it includes natural wholegrain oats.

Warm Your Hands With a Drink

A nice cup of hot chocolate will get the feeling back into your cold fingers if you've come back inside after bravely venturing out into the cold. Add some whipped cream and marshmallows for an added bonus or if you'd rather, stick to a nice biscuit.

Providing you're not driving, a nice Irish coffee will really get you feeling toasty. Add some whisky to a hot cup of coffee and there you have it. You'll feel warm and fuzzy and it's also perfect at any time of the day.
