Keeping Active on Our Parks | Allen's Caravans Blog
Allens Caravans

A holiday of relaxing and lounging around isn’t for everyone, which is why we provide plenty of opportunities to keep active on our parks. We offer some of the top holidays with entertainment in England and Wales alike, meaning that boredom is non-existent on our parks.

As providers of some of the best caravan holidays for families in the UK, we’re dedicated to offering an array of activities to ensure that guests of all ages are spoilt for choice when it comes to holiday entertainment.

Holidays are all about positive vibes, and there’s no better way to get the endorphins pumping than through plenty of exercise. Whether you’re after a gentle stroll or an intense football match, our caravan sites with entertainment have got you covered.

Countryside Walks

First up for our holiday activities here at Allens is countryside walking, which can be done at any one of our parks. Each of our parks is situated within a stunning natural scenery, making them the ideal locations for long countryside walks. Regardless of if you prefer a gentle stroll or a run that tests your endurance, we provide the perfect opportunity to explore and discover the countryside. Instead of exotic beaches abroad, why not search for “holiday caravans near me” and experience the often-neglected natural beauty of the UK?

Outdoor Bowling Green

You can find a bowling green at Abbot’s Salford, Leedons Park, and Overstone Lakes. Whether you’re an avid outdoor bowler or a complete novice, you’re more than welcome to enjoy the delights of our bowling green. Not only is it the perfect opportunity to potentially learn a new skill and get active, but you’ll be able to bask in the luscious view and enjoy some fresh air and sunshine. The object of bowls is relatively simple, as the aim of the game is to roll your bowls as close to the jack as possible and ensure that at least one of your bowls is closer than your opponent’s. Bring out your competitive side on our bowling green today.

Pitch and Putt

A pitch and putt course can be found at Abbot’s Salford, Overstone Lakes, and Bredon View (Bredon View, is actually situated inside an 18 hole golf course). Pitch and putt is a great family-friendly activity, as it’s suited to all capabilities, meaning that almost anyone can play. Anyone who thrives off a bit of healthy competition will love the idea of our pitch and putt course. As with the bowling green, this not only provides the opportunity to play a fun game, but you’re also able to take in stunning views and delight in the warm sun and crisp air. Whether you’re looking to brush up on your golfing skills or simply want to have some outdoor fun, our pitch and putt course is the one for you.

Football/Basketball Court

Sunbeach, Abbot’s Salford, and Overstone lakes each have a football and basketball court on-site. Therefore, regardless of your sporting preference, you’re sure to find a game to keep you entertained on your holiday. Step into the shoes of your favourite sportsperson and get dribbling and scoring goals and baskets. It doesn’t matter if you’re hoping to simply play around or if you have a serious match in mind, our courts accommodate players of all experience levels. If you’re a keen footballer or basketball player, you don’t want to come on holiday and leave your training behind; however, with Allens Caravans, you don’t have to!

Swimming

The opportunity to swim presents itself in three forms here at Allens Caravans. We offer outdoor heated pools, indoor pools, and even the sea. You can find a heated outdoor pool at Abbot’s Salford and Overstone Lakes, an indoor pool at Sunbeach, Leedons Park, The Springs, and Aber Bay, and a beach at Sunbeach and Aber Bay. Whether you’re after an intense swimming session or a little paddle, you can find what you’re looking for at an Allens park. Similarly, our pools are usable all year round thanks to being either heated or indoors; regardless of when you visit us, we can provide you with that summer feeling.

Beach Walks

As previously mentioned, Sunbeach and Aber Bay are caravan parks in Wales by the beach, meaning that beach walks are a viable option when it comes to incorporating some activity into your day-to-day itinerary. Our countryside locations are great for walkers but, once you feel like you’ve seen it all, you can make your way to the beach and discover a new world of adventures. Our caravan parks in Wales near the beach provide you with the best of both worlds and present exciting opportunities for various activities. After all, beaches aren’t only for walking, and there’s much more fun to be had in this setting.
