UK Walking Holidays - Allens Caravans
Allens Caravans

Exploring the Best the UK Has to Offer from Allens Holiday Parks.

Walking has long been recognised as one of the most beneficial activities you can do for your physical and mental health. Whether you go for a brisk 30-minute power walk or a more leisurely three-hour stroll, a regular walk will help you to reduce stress and anxiety, improve cardiovascular fitness, sharpen your mind, contribute towards losing weight, and protect yourself against heart disease and diabetes.

If you are looking for a UK walking holiday that offers both stunning countryside and the comfort and homeliness of caravan accommodation and all the on-site amenities associated with that, then purchasing a holiday home with Allens Caravans will ensure that you tick all those boxes.

We have highlighted below some of our popular caravan sites, which can provide the base of your walking holiday. Bear in mind that all our sites are located in stunning locations - these are those which have proven extremely popular for walking with families who come back for their holidays year after year.

Vale of Evesham

Evesham is an ancient market town that has absorbed centuries of local history and beauty. The Vale of Evesham itself is a well-known spot for ramblers, with many circuitous routes that can be taken to ensure you avoid the crowds and explore somewhere new every day of your holiday.

The Springs is an ideal walking holiday caravan site. Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Springs is made up of conservation areas set around six lakes and immediate access to some of the best walking in the Cotswolds.

Northamptonshire

Northamptonshire is probably one of the most under-rated walking destinations in the UK, yet it boasts some of the most beautiful and undiscovered corners. There are literally hundreds of walks to keep bringing you back year after year - walks along the Nene Way, which is a 70-mile stretch of the river that starts at the village of Badby and ends in Wansford in Cambridgeshire. It can be completed in five stages, making it ideal for a week-long holiday.

Another popular Northamptonshire walk is the Jurassic Way, which runs between Banbury and Stamford, with the majority of the path being in Northamptonshire, along the Jurassic limestone ridge.

If you want to explore Northamptonshire for your UK walking holiday this year, then Allens Overstone Solarium is a beautiful location for your accommodation, set in 115 acres of calming woodland.

Cotswolds

The Cotswolds is truly the jewel of the English countryside. Famous for its picture postcard villages, rolling hills, abundant wildlife and stunning views, the opportunities for planning out some breath-taking country walks are endless.

Recover from your rambles in the tea shops of Broadway, the world-famous Cotswolds village that welcomes visitors from around the world. Potter around the quaint shops of the market town of Evesham. Marvel at the Rollright Stones in Chipping Norton.

You have a choice of two Allens caravan sites for your walking holiday - Bredon View and Leedons Park.

North Welsh Coastal Walks

The coastline of North Wales is one of the most stunning, yet also one of the country’s best-kept secrets, offering walking opportunities that incorporate seascapes that will literally take your breath away. As you walk with the Irish Sea to one side of you, to the other are the peaks of Snowdonia and one of the highest mountains in the UK - Snowdon.

The Sunbeach Holiday Park in Llwyngwril is the perfect base for your Welsh walking holiday. With comfortable, well-equipped accommodation, you can explore the coastal and mountain pathways by day, then relax and recuperate in comfort by night.

Shropshire

If you like to intertwine our great industrial history into your UK walking holiday, then the county of Shropshire has so much to offer you. From the Iron Bridge and the Tollhouse to the Wrekin hiking trails, this dramatic part of the country has so much to offer visitors.

Proclaimed as the ‘Valley of Invention’, Ironbridge is a particularly fascinating destination for adults and children alike, giving a sense of purpose and direction to your walking holiday.

Set off each day from your Pendeford Hall caravan site to complete walking tours that teach and inform as much as they relax and destress.

Our caravan holiday parks cater to everyone, whether you want a relaxing luxury home in the Cotswolds at our Leedons Park site or affordable accommodation on the Welsh coast at our Aber Bay caravan park; there really is a family holiday park home to suit all tastes.
