Situated on the doorstep of the idyllic Cotswolds, Weir Meadow Holiday Park is perfectly placed to offer plenty of attractions and days out for visitors to enjoy. No matter whether you prefer family-friendly attractions, historic or cultural sights, or just a quiet, scenic walk in the countryside, you will be spoiled for choice when you stay at our caravan sites in the Worcester area!

With so many sights and attractions to choose from, we've helped you out by narrowing down the list to feature a few of our favourites in the local area.

Stratford-upon-Avon is a town synonymous with the great William Shakespeare. A visit to Stratford-upon-Avon introduces you to a market town with more than 800 years of history and a thriving local community offering an extensive range of leisure facilities and shopping opportunities. The town contains a wide variety of buildings which would have been familiar to Shakespeare and are impressively still surviving today.

Malvern Hills

The Malvern Hills have been described as a mountain range in miniature! This eight-mile ridge contains some of the oldest rocks in Britain, with their craggy outline giving the impression of the uplands to be found further west. There are plenty of walking and hiking trails crisscrossing the Malverns, so bring your walking boots and prepare to explore!

West Midlands Safari Park

The extensive West Midlands Safari Park is the perfect destination for a family-friendly day out. Visitors will get the opportunity to drive through the Safari Park before spending the remainder of their trip having fun and making memories at the park's amusements. This is a great place to spend a day out with the family when you are staying with us at Weir Meadow Holiday Park.

Severn Valley Railway

The historic Severn Valley Railway is a full-size standard-gauge railway line which runs regular steam-hauled passenger trains for the benefit of visitors and enthusiasts alike. The line runs between Kidderminster in Worcestershire and Bridgnorth in Shropshire - a distance which covers an impressive sixteen miles. Prepare to let the little ones wonder in awe at the beautifully preserved locomotives, or simply sit back, relax, and enjoy an elegant ride through the countryside.

Tewkesbury Abbey

The imposing silhouette of historic Tewkesbury Abbey can be seen on the skyline for miles around the town. Visitors to the Abbey will get the chance to marvel at the abbey's outstanding architecture and the attention to detail shown by the master builders and craftsmen. As well as exploring the abbey, subject to availability, you may also be lucky enough to get the opportunity to take a tour of the Abbey Tower on your visit and enjoy wonderful birds-eye views of Tewkesbury!

Croome Court

This impressive stately home is a fine example of an 18th-century Neo-Palladian mansion house. Visitors to Croome Court can learn about the remarkable history of the house, explore its many opulent rooms, and take a stroll in the well-tended gardens and parkland surrounding the property. The Croome Court estate is managed by the National Trust, so expect a quality day out and regular family-friendly events running throughout the year.
