If you're planning a family holiday in the UK, but you're unsure of where to head off this winter, why not pay a visit to Sunbeach Holiday Park? This park is equipped with a number of family-friendly essentials including a children's play area and a teenager's games room, not to forget the parks lovely beach frontage. This park is open 11 months a year with the exception of January, making it the perfect resort for a little winter trip.

Pets are also welcome at this park so a man's best friend or your friendly feline don't have to miss out on the true Wales experience.

However, if you want to get out and explore during your time away or you want to treat the kids to a day out, where can you go? Well, unlike many places where the crisp winter air means that quite a few locations shutdown for the Christmas season, North Wales still has a number of places to visit during this snowy season.

In this blog post, we will be taking a look at just a few winter pastimes in North Wales.

Centre for Alternative Technology

This centre is child-friendly and welcomes people of all ages to come and witness a spectacular display of what the title suggests; alternative technology! The centre is based around eco-friendly sustainability and teaches us about various methods of just that. It invites people to learn more about how they can do their part as well as see this sustainability in action. What's more, this particular centre even offers specialised courses for a number of different industries as well as schools, making it an educational yet fun day out for the whole family.

This centre is situated approximately 11 miles away from the site.

King Arthur's Labyrinth

Running from now until the 2nd of November, you can explore and uncover lost secrets of the Dark Ages. The centre is complete with an underground trail that takes you through a waterfall and fills you in on all of the mythical stories that time has forgotten. You can expect to hear about King Arthur and a collection of enchanting legends that bring mythology to life!

This centre is located roughly 10 miles away from Sunbeach Holiday Park

Snowdonia National Park

If you don't want to miss out on hiking and walking trails during the winter then wrap up warm and head to Snowdonia National Park! Though a little further than the attractions listed above at an estimated 14 miles away, it is definitely worth a visit if stunning views and a bit of fresh air is what you are after. There are also a number of local events to attend so remember to keep an eye out for what's going on and make a day of your trip to Snowdonia National Park!

It also offers a wonderful landscape for photographers and peace and quiet for inspiration that writers who want to get away from busy city life need.

These are just three attractions you can visit during your stay at Sunbeach Holiday Park in the winter. Do you have any more that you would like to share?
