If there is one thing we are certain of, it is that our stunning parks are located in some of the UK’s most beautiful landscapes. Rolling rural backdrops and breath-taking beach settings, as well as quaint and quintessential market towns, surround the UK holiday parks you’ll call home this summer.
Of course, with all this natural beauty to take in and explore, it is little wonder why these areas are so popular, both with tourists and photographers. The chocolate box villages nestled amongst the Cotswolds, the natural landmarks dotted throughout North Wales and central England, and the pretty little spots hidden off the beaten path all make for superb photo ops.
This is a particular bonus now that May – also known as Photo Month – is upon us. Photo Month is all about testing your photography skills and finding the best spot to snap. So, in the spirit of the month, take the opportunity to capture as many pictures as possible. Then fill up your scrapbook, show your friends and let yourself get lost in the memories, months after you go back home.
If you are stuck for ideas on where to take your photos whilst enjoying a caravan holiday at one of our parks, allow us to help. Below we have listed just four picture perfect hotspots located near our parks. Not only do these locations make for fantastic photo backdrops, but they also make for a fun day out! Read on for more.
For our Leedons Park try…Broadway Tower
The views from the top of the hill, where Broadway Tower sits, are unparalleled. The Malvern Hills surround it, with counties upon counties stretched in front of you. On a clear day, you can see for miles, and even on a questionable day, the tower itself and the views you take in whilst walking to it are well worth the trip. Book your trip away today and enjoy the pleasures of one of our many UK parks.
For our Orchard Lodge try…Stratford-Upon-Avon
Stratford-Upon-Avon, in the very heart of Shakespeare’s country, is a pleasant town with pretty architecture and peaceful spots to explore. You can indulge in some retail therapy and snap some pictures of the Tudor architecture along the way, or you can enjoy a boat trip and capture the river and its surroundings. Why not shoot a few photos of culturally and historically significant locations like Anne Hathaway’s beautiful cottage or even the RSC theatre?
For Overstone Lakes try…Sywell Country Park
Luckily, Photo Month falls at a time of year when you can get outdoors and explore comfortably. That makes it the ideal time to venture into Northamptonshire’s natural beauty. Specifically, Sywell Country Park, which is right on the doorstep of our Overstone Lakes park. With green expanses, interesting features dotted along trails, and plenty of noteworthy landmarks, it is photo ops galore. In fact, the cascade at Sywell Country Park (picture here) is quite the sight, and if you get just the right shot, it can make for a stunning photo.
For our Sunbeach Park try…Barmouth (as seen in blog image)
Our Sunbeach Holiday Park benefits from a premium beachfront location and is just a stone’s throw away is the charming seaside town of Barmouth. The coastline along this part of Wales is second-to-none, with the town itself, a mountainous backdrop, and a beautiful beach that stretches for miles offering plenty in the way of sights. You can climb to the top of the cliffs and get a stunning panoramic shot, or you can get up close and personal to the beach, looking back or out from the dock.
These photographic hotspots are just some of the most attractive locations by our parks. Of course, there are plenty more besides, but you will have to explore the areas for yourself to find them. Just make sure that when you venture out of the caravan and into the world, you have your camera at the ready to make the most of Photo Month 2015.
