The best way to start the new year is happy. To do this, you might want to make plans for the year ahead - such as looking at UK holiday parks for a break? It's never too early to start booking a holiday and it can really get you in the right mindset for the new year. There are plenty of places to visit throughout the UK, with our own holiday parks in Wales, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Northamptonshire.
Wales is full of compelling places to visit, but you might not manage to see them all in one visit. North Wales is the perfect place to take the family, where you can hop on and off the tour bus around the beautiful town of Llandudno. If you're feeling a little more adventurous you could visit and climb Mount Snowdon, it's certainly something that you can't do anywhere else.
In the west of the country, there is the National Botanical Garden of Wales. Here, you can easily lose yourself for a couple of hours or more enjoying the beautiful nature that Wales has to offer.
If you're thinking of staying at a holiday park in Worcestershire, you might be thinking of things that you can do. It's home to Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum, where you can indulge yourself in local history and learn all about Albert the Albatross' journey to the region - it's a story you simply wouldn't want to miss.
If you'd rather be outside, however, then why not take a trip to Worcester Woods Country Park and have a picnic. With plenty of space to play a few fun games and catch the sun (when it does shine), there are few better places in the UK to spend an afternoon with friends and family.
Warwickshire is full of great places to visit and you could even look at seeing a play at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. You might want to get to know the area and what better place to start than Warwickshire Castle, which dates back as far as 1068 when the original building was erected under William the Conqueror. With horrible histories mazes, as well as daily shows and activities for the children, this heritage site should serve as reason enough to make your way to Warwickshire.
Silverstone Circuit, home of the Formula 1 British Grand Prix, is only 30 minutes away from Northampton. One of the most popular circuits in the world, Silverstone is known as 'the home of British motor racing'.
If racing isn't your thing, visiting Abington Park for a fun family day out, taking part in challenging, yet rewarding, fitness trials could be your idea of fun. Relax with a light walk around the park and take in some of the local culture by visiting one of the museums.
