Have a Merry Caravan Christmas with Allens

If you're thinking about spending Christmas day in your family caravan, then we applaud your efforts! Many people forget about their caravans over the colder months, but they really are an excellent way to get away over the holiday season, while still enjoying a traditional Christmas get together.  So book your spot for a holiday in a caravan now; you'd be surprised how quickly sites book up over the Christmas period.

There can be a lot of umming and ahhing over whether or not to decorate the caravan during Christmas. On one hand, it's a great way to get into the festive spirit and make your family feel more at home, but you are also a lot more aware of the room a Christmas tree occupies when you are low on space. We have come up with a few hints and tips for making the most of spending your holiday in a caravan.

  • Use snow spray on windows and doors for a white Christmas effect, as seeing snow makes everything feel more magical!
  • Hang a holly and ivy wreath on your door, like you would at home.
  • Hanging decorations from corner to corner across the room, as you would at home, makes the limited space feel even smaller. Instead, drape bunting and decorations around the walls, doors and cupboards.
  • Stick Christmas cards to cupboard doors to remind yourself of all your family, friends and loved ones.
  • Stick stockings on the ends of benches and chairs - making use of all available space means you get more festive for your space!
  • Use fishing wire or thick cotton to string up rows of well places baubles down your window for a sparkly twist on Christmas decorations.
  • Run rope lights around the external edging of your caravan and the door, to light up your home!
  • Source a mini pop-up Christmas tree,  complete with decorations, for a time and space saver.
  • Alternatively, make use of an awning, for an outdoor tree to be proud of.

Spending time with your loved ones on holiday in a caravan over Christmas, can be just as magical and exciting as it would be at home, so make the most of the time together and book your spot on site now. Remember to contact us for any further information.

Now that that's settled; you just need to choose between making Christmas dinner in your caravan or letting someone else do all the hard work this year!
