A Summer Romance in the Cotswolds…

What will you be doing to keep yourself occupied this summer? How about planning a romantic escape?
You don’t have to brave the airport or plan a whirlwind break in hotspots like Paris, Rome, or Venice though. In fact, you might be surprised by just how much our little island nation has to offer in the way of picture postcard romantic breaks.
A long weekend or perhaps even a fortnight stay in the Cotswolds this summer is likely to be just as rewarding an experience as any jaunt abroad. This is especially the case if you find yourself settling into one of our luxury caravans between your excursions.
Just imagine, after a long day of seeing the natural beauty that this region boasts, enjoying a romantic meal on your private deck; candle lit and accompanied by a glass of fine wine. Sounds ideal doesn’t it? Well, this is just a small part of what life is like with Allens Caravans in the Cotswolds.
Of course, how you fill your days plays a primary role in how romantic your break turns out to be, so you’ll want to choose appropriate activities. And what could be more suitable than exploring the Cotswolds’ Romantic Road, from Broadway?
This 45-mile stretch of countryside road will take you in a full loop, starting and ending at Broadway village; a stone’s throw from several of our caravan parks. You will make your way through winding lanes and pretty villages, and between the market towns and manor houses, you’ll come across the Cotswolds’ own Little Venice,  Bourton-on-the-Water.
This unique and quintessential Cotswolds location offers an almost film-set backdrop for you to walk hand in hand through. It has many attractive features, including honey-coloured stone buildings, a meandering river through the centre (dotted with plenty of benches and low bridges for you to stop and admire), and a quaint attractions to keep the more restless visitors entertained.
Once you’ve finished your day-date in ‘Little Venice’, you can get back on the road and continue exploring the Cotswolds’ rural beauty, before arriving back at Broadway just in time to watch the sunset over the famous tower.
Now, can you think of a better way to spend a short romantic break this summer? No? Then browse our site to find your park of choice, then get in touch to book your next escape!
